Ness Red By Alan Gregory
Red Cherries By Angela Valentine. The image started off as a water colour. Then I drew the image onto the plate which in itself is a lengthy process. It is an Aquatint and was etched onto a copper plate and the shading was done with a lot of stopping out and dipping it back into the acid. Where it is darkest it was the longest in the acid. It is a lengthy procedure. the red cherries were achieved by putting red tissue paper on the plate before the paper was put down on top of it and then it was pressed.
