Hospital & Alice Cross Galleries

Hospital Gallery

The Society has been liaising with Teignmouth Hospital for some time in order to set up a continuous Gallery showing members work. A member suggested in feedback after the Summer Exhibition that as we are taking quite large sums of money in the donation box that it would be good to give something back to the community. We are therefore very pleased to announce that hanging rails have been purchased and installed in the Hospital.

  • The Society can exhibit up to 10 pictures every 8 weeks.
  • Overall size of pictures must be a maximum width 90cm minimum 30cm, any height.
  • Pictures must be framed behind glass (for health reasons) and ready for hanging.
  • The Society will take 20% commission to be split between the Society and Teignmouth Hospital League of Friends.

Alice Cross Gallery

You are probably aware of the Alice Cross Centre. It has recently been updated and hosts a variety of activities, is a licensed premises, and provides very reasonably priced meals.

(website )

Its image is changing and to add extra interest and colour to the main hall we have been invited  to use the walls as a display area for our artwork.

The plan is as follows:

  1. If possible the paintings should be bright and colourful and not under glass.
  2. Minimum size 26″ x 30″, bigger if possible, no upper limit.
  3. 30% commission to the Alice Cross Centre.
  4. Initially about 10 paintings would be required with no more than 2 per artist.

5.The display would be changed every 3 months.

If you would like to take part and have your work displayed in an area used by a large number of people each week, please email me at or telephone 01626 772871

Hoping to hear from many of you!
