SPRING 2025 EXHIBITION at TAAG:

Only paid up members of the Society may submit works into the Exhibition.

Entries to be submitted ONLINE. Closing submission date is THURSDAY 6TH MARCH. THERE WILL NO OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE CHANGES OR ADD ARTWORKS AFTER THIS DEADLINE.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Thursday 6th March: MID-DAY – ALL SUBMISSIONS CLOSE. At this point it will be impossible for any more artworks to be accepted or changes made.

Friday 28th March: HAND-IN artworks between 4:45pm-5:45pm only.

Saturday 29th March: EXHIBITION open daily 10am-5pm (Friday 4th April Exhibition closes 3pm).

Saturday 29th March: 5-7pm TAS MEMBERS' AWARDS EVENING at TAAG. Come & celebrate our artists' achievements with a glass of wine.

Friday 4th April: COLLECTION OF ALL ARTWORKS from 3pm-3.30pm ONLY.

  • Portrait/ Figure – Marjorie Matthews Tankard

  • Floral – Margaret Howell Award

  • Animal Artwork – Susan Thomas Award  (new)

  • Visitors Choice – Margaret Allenby Award

  • Guest of Honour Award

SUBMISSIONS:

● 3x original, including photography & digital, framed artworks OR canvases (all edges painted) £3 per entry up to 60cm, OR 2 large pieces £5 per entry over 60cm. The back hanging cord MUST BE attached with D-Rings, securely screwed in 1/3 down (STRICTLY NO nails, screws or staples).

● One Reserve Piece may also be added to your form, free of charge (£0 on entry form). You may bring this to TAAG once you have been informed of a sale, when the label can be added. No artworks can be stored at TAAG. Ceramic artists: You may enter 6 reserve pieces for ceramic work.

● 3x Browsers (mounted but unframed pictures/prints, not canvases) £2 per entry. Must be neatly wrapped in cellophane & taped at the back.

● 6x 3D works. £2 per entry.

● Maximum 20 Greeting Cards £2 per entry for 10 cards. When entering cards for submission please price each card individually, e.g Card1 - £2.50, Card2 - £3.50 etc.

● Miniatures are limited to maximum of two per entry, no bigger than 15cm x 20cm/6”x8”, including the frame. Canvases must be no bigger than 15x15cm/6”x6”. £2 per entry.

● TAS will deduct 15% commission from the price of each work sold, including cards. We reserve the right to exclude any work that does not meet these requirements.

● All artist biographies must be A5 in size.

ALL LABELS WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE EPOS SYSTEM

By agreeing to exhibit with TAS, you accept the condition, safety and security of your work is your own responsibility.

FRAMING STIPULATION

To prevent damage to your artwork and other framed artworks please note that paintings protected under glass must be sealed at the back with framing tape, the tape to cover all exposed metal and wire clips. D-Rings must be used for hanging cord, screws and nails will not be permitted. Please refer to the pictures below for guidance.

Nylon hanging cord must be used and not wire. This cord is widely available from hardware stores.

Entering greeting cards for sale:

You have two options; to enter cards individually, or in packs of 10 if they are the same price.

Entering Artwork:

Your name and artwork title that will appear on the gallery label will be exactly how you have entered it on the form, so consider this when you input the information.

Artwork titles are strictly limited to 25 character MAX to ensure titles fit on the gallery labels. Any longer than this and your title will appear cut off on the label.
